The University of Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics has secured second position and first rank from Canada in the Bloomberg trading challenge. In this challenge, teams consisting of 3-5 students are guided by a faculty advisor in investing challenge .
This challenge uses Bloomberg Bloomberg Terminal to define upcoming market assumptions to develop a high-return-generating strategy and practice trade within a particular range. the team that won GWNM consisted of leading person Wei Gao (Math), Math), Ruohan Jin (BCS) Wenqi Yu (Actuarial Science), Yiden Wang (BCS), and Kaiwen Xu (Math - CPA) assisted by faculty advisor (in stats and acturial science).

The professor said that he was very proud of his university's winning team in Bloomberg trading completion. He also said that it is very mysterious that his students were using application math and statistics in trading.
