Once upon a time, when Abraham Lincoln was young, he used to travel around the courts and stay overnight at a farmer's house in Illinois. One night, the farmer saw a big bright light streaking across the sky. He thought it meant something bad was going to happen, so he got scared. Then he remembered that Lincoln was staying with him.
He ran to Lincoln's room, shouting, "Sir, sir, the world is ending! The world is ending!"
Lincoln came out of his room and put his hand on the scared farmer's shoulder. He said, "Don't worry, Bill. Even if we see shooting stars, the big groups of stars, called constellations, are still up there. When tough times come and make us scared, it's easy to feel small and afraid. But if we remember that God is always with us, we don't need to be scared. His presence gives us the strength to face anything."
